I cut my locs last November. After the cut, I gave them a series of deep, intentional cleanses—rituals of release and transformation. Then, I repurposed them into tools of sensation: two unique floggers. The larger one I call my Lion’s Mane, and the smaller, Lion’s Tail.
Some were surprised I’d do such a thing. Others—those who truly know me—weren’t surprised at all. They knew that my locs had long been part of my play. I would trace them gently across a submissive’s skin, drape them over my shoulder and grasp a submissive from behind, wrap them around their throat to pull and tighten, or whip them rhythmically to strike and stimulate. My body has always been an instrument in my scenes—and my locs, an extension of that dominance and power.
Even after “unloc-ing” myself, I knew I wanted to keep them close—not just as relics, but as living tools of pleasure, connection, and control. My Lion’s Mane and Lion’s Tail will continue to dance across flesh, coaxing sensation, inviting surrender, and reminding me of the strength and sensuality they still carry.
